| CISD1

The CDGSH iron sulfur domain 1 protein (also referred to as mitoNEET) is an integral membrane protein located in the outer mitochondrial membrane,bind a redox-active [2Fe-2S] cluster. Localized to the outer membrane of mitochondria and is thought to play a role in regulation of oxidation. Diseases associated with CISD1 include Wolfram Syndrome 2 and Renal Artery Obstruction.An important paralog of this gene is CISD2.
