| Ser536

Phosphorylated NF-κB p65 (Ser536) represents a critical regulatory site within the NF-κB signaling pathway. NF-κB is an essential transcription factor that participates in a wide array of physiological and pathological processes, including inflammation, immunity, cell proliferation, and apoptosis. The phosphorylation of the Ser536 site on the NF-κB p65 subunit enhances its transcriptional activity, thereby promoting the expression of downstream target genes. This phosphorylation event is typically mediated by the IKK kinase complex or other kinases (such as TBK1, MSK1) in response to stimulation by pro-inflammatory factors like TNF-α and IL-1β, or pathogen-associated molecular patterns (PAMPs).
