| 231P-tau

Phosphorylated Tau231 protein (p-Tau231) is the pathological form of tau protein phosphorylation at the threonine 231 site (Thr231) and is closely associated with tau pathological progression in neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's disease (AD) ‌. Its detection is of great value in the early diagnosis, disease classification and treatment monitoring of AD. In some instances, the performance of plasma p-tau231 biomarkers is comparable or only marginally inferior to established cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) or PET examinations of Aβ and tau pathologies, but with the advantage of greater availability and tolerability for both clinicians and patients.

The recovery of Human 231P-tau spiked at three different levels in samples throughout the range of the assay was evaluated in various matrices.
